Can't create a Unique ID for Inline Navigation Items

Hi Guys,

I used Design Cloud Template for one of my sites and made many changes. I want to be able to assign each inline navigation item, a unique id. As there was no header or footer content in Cornerstone, I created a footer for this template. However, I am still unable to create a unique id for each inline navigation item. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the updates. Please be aware that there is no option in the builder or in the navigation element settings that you can add a unique ID for each item. Even in Appearance > Menus, you cannot insert a unique ID all because WordPress generates each of the item IDs dynamically. What you can do is to use the Google Chrome Developer Toolbar to check the live HTML code and find which CSS selector you need to use for each navigation item.

Many thanks for your response Ruenel and for clarifying the situation. I was trying to achieve this for Google Tag Manager. Based on your response, I will take a different approach.

One last thing. Can you shed any light as to why the footer (Room Footer) that I built in X Pro, is not showing in the Production Site, when I set it to Entire Site.

I checked your site’s footer, it seems that the footer is rendering on the site that you have set. It might be the issue of browser cache at your end. I would suggest you clear your browser cache and then check it again.

Hi Prakash,

Many thanks for your response. The footer on the site is called Trial Footer. The footer that I cannot get to display is called Room Footer. I have Trial Footer in place temporarily with no formatting for GTM purposes.

I have cleared the browser cache and use litespeed cache for purging pages, etc. This had no effect.
The issue with Room Footer not displaying is across all devices.

Using my logon credentials above, could you kindly check to see if you can understand why Room Footer will not display.

I checked your site it seems that you have not assigned the " Room Footer ", you need to assign the footer so that it renders on the site.

Pro

You need to assign the footer for the entire site and unassign the footer that you assign for the entire site.

Hi Prakash,

That was my query. I have tried to assign Room Footer many times. It displays correctly in the Footer Builder, but displays as white blocks on the Production Site. The links are there in white font but cannot be seen, due to loss of formatting.

Would you be so kind as to try and assign the Room Footer to get an understanding of what I am talking about? Please check the Production Site, after assigning the Room Footer.
