Can't assign headers, footers or layouts

I’m not able to assign any headers or footers to new pages. I’ve assigned some before and they work, but now when I make a new assignment nothing stays.

They show up in the cornerstone editor just fine but when I preview on the front end, they don’t appear. I’ve tried clearing all caches and turning off all plugins and that didn’t help.

Adding a new page via page builder with a template works just fine. However, when I assign a header or footer to that, it doesn’t take.

Hello @CaryScofield,

Thanks for writing to us.

It might be the issue of cache or version compatibility issue. I would suggest you troubleshoot with a few of the common issues before we investigate your settings.

  1. Testing For Theme Related Issue
  2. Testing For Plugin Conflict
  3. Theme Update
  4. Child Theme
  5. Css/Js Customization
  6. Increasing Php Memory Limit
  7. Disabling Cache
  8. Disabling Cdn
  9. Permalinks
  10. Version Compatibility

If none of those work, It would be best if you could copy your live website to your staging area. and send your details in a secure note so that we can investigate your setting without breaking your live site. Please provide the following details

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts

Thanks

Here it is. Thanks!

Hello @CaryScofield,

It seems that you have set the “All Single Post Header” condition as “All Singular”. You must specify the condition for the post types so it renders to only those post types only.

After setting the conditions your other header would work properly. Please have a look at the screenshot in the secure note.

Hope it helps
Thanks
