Can't add Visual Composer Template

I activated the VC plugin in the WPBakery Page Builder Settings > X integration

x integraion = enabled
remove default templates = not checked

but when i’m on a page where i’m adding content, and i try to add a template through VC backend, it comes up with their templates, but there appears no way for me to add it to the page. the message on the top says:

Activate WPBakery Page Builder
WPBakery Page Builder Template Library downloads are available for activated versions only. Activate WPBakery Page Builder direct license to access Template Library and receive other benefits.

so it looks like i can’t use their templates. come on guys, fix this stuff.

Can someone from the support team answer this simple question?

Hello @guy23,

Thanks for asking.

You need to purchase licence from WPBakery to access there premade templates under Template Library.

Thanks for understanding.

Your company should have mentioned this ahead of time. I feel cheated on this since I wasn’t told ahead of time.

Hi there,

Matt from the leadership team here.

I’m sorry that you feel that way, but since WPBakery do not include access to their templates as part of our agreement when bundling their plugin, we have no control over that. We do not state anywhere that we include these, just that we include the plugin itself. Their templates are not a direct part of the plugin. This is something that several theme authors do and it’s outside of our control.

However, we do include our own page builder and a variety of demo content. So if you are willing with our page builder instead of Visual Composer, then you may find demo content that suits your needs there. Appreciate that this isn’t necessarily the answer you’re looking for but I felt it might giving you this option to consider.

Hope you can understand our position, and have a great day.

Matt
