Can't add page intro for some pages

In the search results for my website some pages have descriptions while others have just the page title. I am at a loss as to where I need to put the page description so it shows up on the search page. For example: https://sheffieldwellnesscentre.co.uk/?s=massage
Some results have a chunk of text after the title then a “read more” link while others just have a chunk of text.
Any help would be appreciated

Hey Richard,

For the post that has a Read More link, that’s because the Excerpt Length has been triggered. The Excerpt Length can be changed in Theme Options > Blog > Excerpt Length.

If the length of your post content is lower than the Excerpt Length, the Read More link will not show up as it’s not required.

For the empty descriptions, there are 2 reasons why that happens.

1. Some are Pages and that’s normal in WordPress. That will happen with any theme that shows excerpts. You can try to find a plugin that will enable you to add excerpt interface to Pages or the Page Post Type. You’ll know why you need to do this below.
2. You used Cornerstone for some of your posts. We don’t support displaying Cornerstone content in excerpts.

The solution to empty excerpts is to use Manual Excerpts. You can learn more about that here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/excerpt/

The last things to be suspected are your child theme and 3rd party plugins. With that said, please do the following tests:

1. TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
2. CHILD THEME
