I cant seem to add a list of posts (that will be my news-category on the page) with a shortcode like this: [display-posts category=“must-read” posts_per_page="-1" include_date=“true” order=“ASC” orderby=“title”]
Can I not use a shortcode, or should i do it some other way?

Text and RAW content element accepts shortcodes. Can you give us your site URL where it is not working so we can check your setup?

the two attempts to get the shortcode should be visible on the lower part of the page, top is RAW, bottom is text field.

Strange that there would be an issue with some third party software, since the only thing that i have installed is the x-theme, and the plugins that come with the software.
Or are you suggesting it might be one of the plugins that come with the theme that is the culprit?
Anyway, all plugins are now disabled, there are no third party scripts, it is a completely fresh install.
So it should work but it doesn’t…

Please note that there is no display-posts shortcode in xtheme.
You can try the recent posts shortcode instead.
