Cannot validate license on staging site

Hi,

I have correctly input my new staging site details in the license manager, but no matter what I do the license does not work.

Immediately after the code is entered, the message says “congratulations, site validated”. But then once the page refreshes, X once again asks for validation. This process goes around in a circle, never resulting in validation.

I have tried clearing the browser cache, and Cornerstone is up-to-date for X version 7.2.3 which is currently installed on the staging site. I have also temporarily removed password protection in case this was causing problems.

I want to use the staging site to test the new version of X before upgrading on our production site, but this license issue is preventing me from doing so. Can you check what’s going on with this license for me?

Many thanks!

Hi @outpost33,

Thanks for reaching out.
There might be a few different reasons for this issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot the common issues are related to the Product Validation

  1. Location Issues
  2. Communication Error Messages

If none of the above helps, and you are still getting the issue on validation, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi @tristup,
Thanks for your reply, I already did this troubleshooting and this is not the issue. Please log in with the credentials provided below.

Hello @outpost33,

We can not log in to your site since you have not shared the login details like WordPress Login URL and WordPress admin Username and Password. You have only shared the license key in the secure note. Please share the login details so that we can check them.

Thanks

Hi @prakash_s and @tristup

I have shared them in my previous message, please check again – thanks!

Hello @outpost33,

Thanks for sharing the login details, I went ahead and validated the theme. Please have a look at your site. I followed these steps on your server.

  1. Clear the cache of the Autoptimize plugin
  2. Reset the permalink to plain and then set it to custom structure

Thanks

Hi @prakash_s

Thank you! I will make a note of these steps in case I encounter something similar in future.

Hello @tristup,

Glad that we were able to help you.

Thanks
