Cannot Use The Text Feature in the New X Upgrade

Hello

I am unable to make any changes to my text for my posts using the new X upgrade. I have deactivated my cache clearing plugin and even tried in an incognito browser, the issue remains.

Can you help me revise my post? thank you,

Hi There,

Can you describe better the issue? Do you make changes on Cornerstone and they don´t reflect on the live site? If yes you could :

1- Clean your browser cache

2- If you have cache plugins, flush your cache.

If that does not help, please provide your wp admin credentials in a private reply.

Hello,
Each time I try to make any changes to the content on my posts in the new version of X, it takes me twice as long because I have to repeat things three or four times due to the new interface reverting to other theme stacks. For instance, my stack is Icon, but the text element keeps reverting to Integrity, which causes an issue where I cannot see my text to edit it in the interface.

See attached example where you can see the text edit box going off the left side of the page… unable to read.

I’ve cleared all my cache already. Let me know if there’s a way to revert back to the old X theme that did not have these issues.

Hello There,

Thanks for providing the information. I have checked it in your site and in my local testing server. I found out that the Apply Preset will always go back to “Integrity” as a default value. But this does not mean that the settings (like color, alignment, font) has changed. It will only change only after you hit the Apply button. You do not have to worry if you selected Icon and when you refresh the page it reverts to Integrity because your current settings (like color, alignment, font) will still be the same and it is from Icon preset.

Hope this explain it briefly.

Hi there. Unfortunately this does not solve my issue though. My issue is that when I try to make an edit to a post using the new text box element, it will not allow me to see the text box in full. The box appears halfway off the left side of the screen so I am unable to make any edits.

Are you able to help me resolve?

Hi,

Upon checking, I can see lots of html syntax errors in your text element.

Please check each element and make sure you have properly closed your html tags.

I tried removing the contents and the text elements showed up correctly.

How were you able to view the contents of the text elements in order to remove them? That is my entire issue. I cannot see the contents of the text elements because they are nearly entirely off the page to the left…

Please clean your browser cache and test it again.

I have tested with Chrome and Firefox and seems to work well.
