Cannot seem to change spacing between words in sentences

Hi,

I am struggling with changing the spacing between each word to be more smaller just as the spacing would appear on this post. It seems as though it is a mismatch of spaces between words in a post and it looks even worse on my phone. It seems to only happen on some headings and in some paragraphs but not all.

It looks______ something________like this___ on a phone (and only slightly noticeable on the desktop)

Also, I am using the grid plug in which has come out perfect on the desktop but doesn’t come out at all under ‘more posts’ on my phone which is located on the homepage.

Any CSS or advice would be much appreciated,

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out.

I checked your site and it’s behing a coming soon page. But I tried it on my installation and I couldn’t reproduce it. Have you copy and paste the document from a document? That space is probably due to   or hidden white-space or character.

I recommend manually editing that content and remove the spaces, then add them by pressing the space key. That should reset the spacing that are hidden.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

oh sorry forgot to do that, I have just taken it off under construction so you can see the website now but I will give that a go.

I believe it’s because I edited the posts on Microsoft word, as all post font sizes were all out of whack possibly due to previous plugins before X theme. I’ll not do that it future though.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I checked and it’s only normal since your text alignment is set to justify. If you’re not comfortable with that, I recommend changing your text alignment to left and it should be configurable in the text element that you added.

Justified alignment will force the texts to take up the whole width of the current row, increasing the spaces between words. With left alignment, spaces are of course placed on the right, and so on

Thanks!
