Hi and thank you for the response. The article you cited was is so poorly-written and vague as to placement of the code string that it was useless. It apparently assumes that we are all PHP masters. At any rate, I have partially resolved the issue by reading other articles and adding this line of code just above the WP absolute path section:
define( ‘WP_TEMP_DIR’, ‘/absolute/path/to/wp/your/temp-dir’ );
(with my actual absolute path inserted)
That said, some extension installations are still failing on installation or activation, and I am still seeing errors in my PHP logs:
20200320T094855: comountainman.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
PHP Warning: Declaration of X_Plugin_Upgrader_Skin::feedback($string) should be compatible with WP_Upgrader_Skin::feedback($string, …$args) in /hermes/walnacweb03/walnacweb03ah/b1535/as.comountainman/wp-content/themes/pro/framework/functions/updates/class-x-tgmpa-integration.php on line 263
Moreover, my site’s frontend now takes upwards of 20 seconds to load, and even times-out in the browser on occasion, which is obviously an utterly unacceptable showstopper. It’s not a server or caching issue, because everything else (except for WordPress with your Theme installed) runs like lightning.
Isn’t there any way that you guys can just login to my ACP and figure out what the Hell is wrong? I have access to my PHP.ini file, etc. After all, this is a premium paid Theme.
UPDATE: I just wiped everything on my site, and started over…re-installed WordPress and the Pro Theme and Child Theme. I’m still getting the error shown above (Line 263), as well as extension installation failures, which which pretty clearly looks like a bug in your Theme. Please let me know if I can provide my WP ACP and web server logins so that you can go in and fix this.
Or, you can just refund my money so I can purchase a theme that works as advertised.
