I am unable to edit only the News page using Cornerstone.
But I am able to edit all other pages using Cornerstone as shown below. The News page is not even being shown in the cornerstone content editor.

The News/Post Page is using a file template that is why is it not editable in Cornerstone since it is an index page and not a post page.
If you want to be able to control the news page, you can use plugins like The Grid and Essential Grid to display the posts.
