Cannot create header for other lanugague

I am using WPML, i click the flag at the bottom right corner and click Copy, then the error “Uh oh! Failed to create Header.” shows at the top left corner.

I can confirm it is working fine for pages, looks like only affecting header.

Hi @barkmall,

Thanks for reaching out.
It will be very difficult to recognize the reason behind it without investigating it through the Admin Dashboard. I would suggest you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– Specific Header where you have this problem.

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

added. thanks!

Hi @barkmall,

Unfortunately, the given credentials are not working. I would request you please check and send it once again.

Thanks

sorry, i have not idea what happened. Anyway i generated a new password and verified. Please try again.

Hi @barkmall,

I have checked your header and found the issue you described. I have also found that you are still using the older version of Pro i.e. 4.3.3, I would suggest you update it to the latest version i.e. 5.1.5 and check if that resolves your issue. If that does not help, let us know for further investigation.

Thanks

problem still exist, and all the pages is broken now at frontend (style is still good at the editor), are you sure upgrade is a good idea? Please advice what is the next step asap.

Frontend

backend

and would like to report one more issue related to language

After i clicked the bottom right button to add content for other language, it created a separated page instead of the translation of the existing page. You can see there are already 3 ‘home’ page here. Because i tried add the translation twice.

Hi @barkmall,

The issue with the frontend output is due to the Style Cache, I went ahead and clear the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and now it shows the output properly.

I have also checked and found there is multiple Home page in the Page Builder, but while clicking into the Flag it shows me the English version of the page and does not show the option shown in your screenshot. It only happens if that page is not having the translated version, you can find the translate option instead of the pencil icon in the page list as shown in the screenshot.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

First, you didn’t reply related to the original header issue.

Second, try with id 8, it is the real homepage.

Hey @barkmall,

To avoid confusion and missing other details, we’ll cover the “header translation issue” only in this thread. Please open a separate thread for other issues. You can post the link of this thread to the other threads for reference.

Regarding the header issue, I see you’ve reverted back to Pro 4.3.3 and the header is translatable (see my video recording in the secure note). With that said, it looks like the issue is already fixed. Please confirm this.

By the way, to avoid update issues, before updating to Pro 5.1.5, please clear all caches and deactivate you optimization plugins. Follow all of the website update best practices here: https://theme.co/docs/how-to-update

Thanks.

Hi Christian,

You are in the wrong wordpress site. Please go to http://staging-barkmalldrivers.kinsta.cloud/admin. It is 5.1.5 and the header still cannot be translated.

Hello MeiLei,

You are having the issue because the headers are not yet translatable. Please go to WPML > Settings and set it to translatable.

kindly let us know how it goes.
