Hi There, using Theme X I have installed a site from design cloud (Ethos business) but I have no styling options in X and I cannot find anywhere to change my logo. not sure what’s gone wrong - please help

You can change the Logo from Theme Options > Header > Logo(Image). Please find the screenshot describing the option.

Can you confirm that you are using the latest version of X? It should be X 8.0.10. If not, please update and check again.
If the issue persists, can you please review the following troubleshooting steps from the article here:
- Testing for Plugin Conflict
- Child Theme
- CSS/JS Customization
- Disabling Cache
- Disabling CDN
If after going through and following the steps for each of the above, the problem persists, please provide your WordPress login URL, username and password, in a secure note, so that we can review your installation.

Thanks! I just needed to update my theme. But I don’t understand why I don’t receive notifications to update my theme in Wordpress. Other themes and plugins alert me all the time. Is there something I can turn on?

It might be the issue of file permissions or any third-party plugin that is stoping the update notification. I would suggest you update your file permission by using FTP or Cpanel or check for the plugin that is stoping update notification.
