Can someone please explain my page speed to me?

Hey guys,

I addressed this last week and was given some good tips on lower the size of my photos with smush (which I did), however now I have another problem that needs addressed… My page speed is dramatically slower and I have no idea what. Could someone please give me some advice to fix this problem, is it hosting related? I use Hostgator shared server (which I hate), however I wasn’t planning on making a move until needed…

Thanks for writing in! Upon testing on my end, I see the load time around 7.5 seconds.

Your server load may be too high when you have tested earlier. You can contact your hosting provider and ask more information about the server load.

Also use other tools like Google PageSpeed Insights (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/) and GTmetrix (https://gtmetrix.com/) to further optimize your site.
