Can one control where/which page(s) hosts the Post Carousel? Is it limited to Ethos Stack?

Hello, I’m admiring the Ethos 01 Demo. I have 3 questions about it and, more specifically, the Post Carousel it features:

  1. Is Ethos the only stack where one can enable a Post Carousel?

  2. Is there a way to have the Post Carousel display further down the page or does it have to be above the masthead?

  3. Is there a way to have the Post Carousel enabled on some pages but not others?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @jeremy4,

Thanks for asking.

  1. As of now Ethos is the only stack that comes with post carousel.
  2. You have the options to change the position of post carousel. However it will require some custom development by making changes in theme files which falls outside the scope of support we offer. Please let us know the position you would like to display and we will try to point you in right direction.
  3. Yes, you can use either use post id feature or WordPress conditionals statements to display post carousel on few pages. For more information, please take a look at following document. https://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags

Thanks.

Thanks for that Prasant. To answer your #2, I was hoping to place the carousel a few sections down on the homepage but not flush against the footer. Pretty much close to the middle. Is this possible? Is there a way to display it with shortcode?

Hello There,

Thank you for the clarifications. The post carousel is place above the masthead by default. There is no setting that you can move it around. You cannot place it inn between the sections in your content area. Regretfully there is no shortcode for the post carousel. It is hard coded and integrated in the masthead. If you want to relocate it, you will need to modify the masthead. You can only relocate it below the masthead or right above the footer.

Hope this helps.
