Can I Go Back?

I just found out that one of my pages’ design is damaged, it’s just weirdly moved to the left, etc.

Is there any way to “go back before the damage”?

I have no idea what caused the damage and when but I’d love to save myself the hassle of designing it again.

Thanks!

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website listed in your Themeco Account and found you are using the X version 8.3.3 whereas updated the Cornerstone to its latest version i.e. 6.0.8.
The issue you are having might be due to the incompatibility between X and Cornerstone. I would suggest you follow the below steps while updating the X theme and the Cornerstone.

  1. Delete the Cornerstone
  2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
  3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

Please clear all type cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thanks for the fast response, @tristup,

tell me please, how do I delete Cornerstone, I mean won’t my site crash?
Probably dumb question but I don’t know it, so…
Thanks!

Hi Daniel,

I have checked your site and the Cornerstone is not activated so you can easily delete it from the Plugin list, and then follow the steps explained above.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Unfortunately no luck, it did not work. Any other idea, Tristup?

Hi Daniel,

It seems that you have installed the latest version of Cornerstone separately, and X separately. If you are not able to delete the Cornerstone, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– FTP/CPanel to access the files.

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

I deleted the Cornerstone and installed it again. But sure here are the credentials.

Hi Daniel,

If you are able to delete the Cornerstone, then after deleting it you need to update the X theme to its latest version i.e. 9.0.8 by following my instruction.

Please remember that we do not provide updating the theme as a service. It’s only reserved for our Care plan.

Thanks

Ok, I’m confused.
In “plugins”, I only see Cornerstone. I don’t have X themes as a plugin.
And when I open the “X”, I can see that the latest version is 9.0.8., but I don’t see how to update it. It seems like it’s set to update automatically, but apparently, it does not. I mean I searched the thing but I don’t see any button.

Hi Daniel,

I just check your website again and the X theme is still outdated, you can check your theme here:

To avoid any potential errors when updating the X theme to the latest version, I suggest that you uninstall and delete the cornerstone plugin. Once the cornerstone plugin is deleted, you can now update your X theme to the latest version. Afterward, you can install the cornerstone plugin again.

Hope that helps.

Oh!
Damn, I’m an idiot, haha.
Thank you!
