Can I change thumbnail for an embedded Youtube-Video?

Hi there,
I embedded a Youtube-Video, technically it’s working fine. The thing is, I don’t like the thumbnail it starts with. Is there a way of adding an overlaying image, with the video embedded underneath, so when clicking it will begin as usual?
Any idea would be great, thank you!

Hey Karen,

Regretfully, we do not have a poster image option for the Embed Video Type. It only displays what Youtube provides so it’s best you change the Video Thumbnail on Youtube.

Alternatively, you can use the bundled Essential Grid plugin like shown in the video here https://youtu.be/dAI07peZ1VY

If you really wish to set an image for the Youtube embed externally, you will need to consult with a developer to create a custom function for you.
