Can create new layouts in Pro and assign them they don't actually assign

I have an issue with layouts, which were working fine. Now when I create a new layout (which is assigned to a specific post category), it won’t appear on the posts. It works fine in the layout preview screen, and is correctly assigned, it just doesn’t change on the actual post. The weird thing is ones I created before are working fine. It’s just for new layouts. Also applies to new layouts assigned to a specifc page. Any help would be greatly appreicated! I updated to latest Pro version and seems to have been since then, but that may be a coincidence. Thanks.

Definately only happening on new layouts created - I assigned an older layout to the troublesome post category and it worked fine. I’ve disabled all plugins installed since the issue started and no difference. Help!!

Thanks for reaching out.
It might be due to the confliction of the condition applied to any of older layouts. I would suggest you remove the condition from the layouts one by one till the issue resolves, the last layout where you remove the condition that is the reason behind your issue.

If that does not resolve the issue, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks for the reply. I had a look and couldn’t see any conflicts - however I have discovered the issue. If I duplicate an existing layout and assign to the required post category, it works fine. However, if I change the layout name from the default generated duplicate name, e.g. “existing layout (1)”, to something custom, it doesn’t work. Very bizzare! I will leave the default duplicated names as they are for now, as it’s working!
