Buttons not linking correctly

Hi

II’m adding buttons to my front page and adding the url links, but when I click the button I get taken to a 404 page with this url:

http://mywebsite.com/demo-home/www.facebook.com/mywebsite (obviously I’ve changed the name of the site!)

It also happens with at least one of the images that I’ve added a link to, although email links work fine. I’ve tried both classic and V2 buttons.

Any ideas please? I only downloaded and installed X two days ago.

Hey Kelly,

The usual cause of this is incomplete URL especially omitting the protocol (i.e http://, https://, tel:for phone link). Please check if you’ve entered only the domain like this:

It should be complete like this:

The Email type does not need the protocol.

Thank you, that’s fixed it! I had ‘www’ but not ‘https’!
