Button Element Linking - Absolute & Relative

Hi X Team,

With regard to the button element, is there a way to apply relative linking to connect with pages on the same site or is it always necessary apply an absolute URL for them to work properly. The reason I ask is that it is a pain to go into a web-site (after it’s been migrated to a new server) and have to re-apply adjusted linking to the buttons. Please advise.
