Button Custom JavaScript - is not shown in an account

Unfortunately, the “Custom JavaScript” button is showing up in Cornerstone on my account. Unfortunately not in my friend’s account.

Both accounts have administration rights in WordPress. Is there an additional setting in Cornerstone for the user?

Hello @Silas,

Thanks for writing in! Please go to Cornerstone > Settings > Permissions > General Theme Options and make sure that the JS is enabled in your friend’s ROLE (Editor or Author).

Kindly let us know how it goes.

I found out that if you install the theme and the plugins in a WordPress multi-site network, only Superadmin have the Custom JavaScript button, even if the checkbox for administrators is activated in the settings.

Hi @silas,

Yes, this has to do with the unfiltered_html capability. On multisite it is required to have super admin privileges to edit custom JavaScript.

Is there a setting that allows normal admins to add custom JavaScript?

Hi @silas,

Unfortunately, there is no such option for that. Only the super admin can add the custom JavaScript in the Multisite environment.

Thanks
