After the recent update to version 5.0.5 we have noticed on our site that many of the button elements have had background and border colors change despite us not changing anything about them. Also, the color controls for the element on the left hand side don’t show up in what is actually on the button in the page builder or on the live site, see the screenshot below.

Thank you for writing in, base on that screenshot it seems the button elements that you’re having issues with are not the native button element of Cornerstone. Is that a custom or 3rd party plugin element?
Please provide us login credentials on a “Secure Note” so we can take a closer look.

I created a secure note. It is a “Classic” element that is causing this issue, specifically the “Classic Advanced Button.” After the update, the controls in Cornerstone do not modify what is actually displayed in the element on the page.
Also maybe relevant is that before the update, Cornerstone appeared to be within the Pro menu on the WordPress dashboard bar and now it is separated out into its own menu option.

Your Classic Advanced Button element does not come from Pro. It’s made by your 3rd party developer. Please have the developer of the Classic Advanced Button update or fix the custom element. Have him/her model the element based on the button elements that are included out of the box. Or, you could change the Classic Advanced Button to a Button element.
