BUG REPORT: Section Without Rows Breaks Layout

Hi guys,

I believe I’ve encountered a bug that applies to the newest version of Pro theme (and probably Cornerstone by itself too).

Basically, if you have a section and you delete the only row, it will mess up the entire layout of the page on the frontend, though oddly not the backend.

You could argue that you shouldn’t be doing this, but it doesn’t really matter because my clients do do it. And they get confused when everything breaks.

I would say this definitely qualifies as a bug. It looks like what ends up happening is the section div element never gets closed if there’s no row for some reason, which messes everything else up.

I tested on multiple sites and had the same problem every time.

To recreate quickly, go to an existing page you have with multiple sections, add a new section right in the middle, delete the row within it, and save. Everything will look fine in Cornerstone/Pro, but on the frontend it will all be broken.

Hello Brian,

Thanks for writing in! This is a known bug. It will happen when there is no row/s or no columns inside the rows. We’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.

Please bear with us.

Got it. Thank you for the update!

No problem.
