Bug or feature: Recent Posts widget > title vs no title

In the screenshot you can see I haven’t filled in a Title for the Recent posts, however when you leave it blank, the page will render the words “Recent Posts”. I guess I could ask you for a CSS how to remove that, please?

However, I guess it defeats the purpose then that all other widgets when the title is not filled is left blank and the page doesn’t render anything. Is this something belonging to the Theme X or Wordpress?

Anyway, I thought I brought it up. It is a bit odd vs how all the other widgets behave.

If you have a CSS to hide them I would be happy to have it!

Thanks,

N

Hi N,

Thank you for writing in, yeah that’s a native behavior of recent posts widget, please use the Custom HTML widget and use the Recent Posts shortcode instead.

[recent_posts count="3" orientation="vertical"]

Recent Posts Shortcode

Cheers!
