Bug in post element?

Hey,

when I make a video posts everything looks good in the post and perfect on the blog page where users can play the video directly. However when using the post element on a page to display the latest 2,3,4 posts the video does not show in the post and is therefore not playable. So it shows an empty posts which is not so nice.

What is missing to make the post element display the same posts preview as the blog page does?

Thanks for reaching out.

Do you mean the recent posts element? Unfortunately, it will not display videos but just featured images. I recommend adding both video and featured images. And it will require customization to such element just to display the video as a thumbnail, and it’s something we dont’ recommend.

yea, i know but it would be so much cooler the other way.

maybe you can put this in your features list for furture releases.

Yes, it’s been added as feature request. But the implementation of recent posts is not really intended to handle media types or post format, at least for now.
