Hi, I’m encountering a relatively new issue and am unsure of the cause. Whenever a logged-in attempts to navigate to their buddypress profile “…/members/username/profile”, they’re get redirected to “./profile” instead and I’m unable to determine the cause of the redirect. Is there a way to determine the cause of this?

Regretfully the given password is not working.
BuddyPress is a 3rd party plugin and it is supported in the theme. The redirection is not part of theme. You may need to look for other resources to get your issue resolved. Please check this article instead:
