Broken First Tab in Classic Tabs

Hello,

We are using Classic Tabs in our X Pro page and the first tab is broken.

It looks fine in Cornerstone/Pro but when viewed on the front end it’s broken. It happens with Top Aligned, Left Aligned, and Right Aligned tabs.

What’s strange is that if I put two Tab Objects in the page, the second one works fine.

I attached a screenshot.

How can we fix this so that we can get back to building this site.

Thanks,

Micah

Hi Micah,

Upon checking, I can see something is adding <a></a> tags randomly

Kindly try the following,

  1. Try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  2. Re-install theme

  • Download PRO theme from forum dashboard
  • Unzip pro.zip on your computer.
  • Rename the pro folder to pro-updating.
  • Connect to your server via FTP and navigate to your /wp-content/themes/ directory.
  • Drag and drop the pro-updating folder into your themes directory.
  • Upon completion, rename the previous pro folder to pro-previous.
  • Rename pro-updating to pro. Your site will now be at the latest version.
  • Delete the pro-previous folder.
  • Visit the WordPress dashboard at least once to ensure any migration logic can run (this happens behind the scenes).

Don’t forget to backup your site before doing anything.

Thanks

Tabs are broken with all plugins disabled.

I went ahead and followed Step 2 and replaced the Pro files.

The tabs are still broken.

I also noticed that will all the plugins disabled, I cannot save content in Pro/Cornerstone. I tracked this down to an issue with Essentials Grid.

If Essentials Grid is Disabled or Deleted, Pro/Cornerstone cannot save content at all.

Hello,

The user account is now working.

Hi Micah,

I have logged in to your site and I found the cause of the issue. You have inserted an invalid code in your custom header which has affected the rest of the page.

I have fixed it already and added this instead:

<p><i class="fas fa-phone-volume"> </i><a href="tel:">(661)818-7100</a></p>

Always keep in mind that any broken html code that you will insert anywhere could create issues and affect the rest of the page which is what have happened.

Please check your site now.

Thanks for catching that!

All looks great now.

Micah
