Both WP Bakery + Cornerstone not displaying video backgrounds full size

I am in desperate need of help with my video background. It doesn’t matter if I build it in WP Bakery or in Cornerstone, the video displays about the size of a phone display even though I’m working on a 27" monitor.

This is the page where I built the video background in Cornerstone: https://enviro-clean.com/pages/

And here’s my video background in Bakery:

Could someone please point me in the right direction? I don’t know what to do.

Hi @ielorie,

Thank you for sharing the URL.

I can see the issue now. When video/image was added as background its size will depend on the size of the container. In your case section with just a text. If you want it to be more bigger, you need to increase the height of the section. If you don’t have anymore content, you can increase current section/column padding or margin. See this: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cYfu6zBcus

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your response! Isn’t there some setting that covers the background area? For example, in Bakery i put in a background image and it goes the full width without me having to add additional width, I only have to add height.
But with the video it just pops in as a tiny phone-size video. I’m adding padding padding, sure, but why won’t it auto-display larger than a phone?

I really want the video to fill the entire screen. Is there a way to do this without having to “play” with the padding?

Hey @ielorie,

I see you’re using a Vimeo video which seems to be causing the issue. It’s recommended to use a self hosted video. As a test i first used your video source and indeed it appeared as a size of a mobile, I then replaced the background video with a self hosted one and it fixed the issue. The background video covered the whole section.

Please replace your video with a self hosted one and it should fix the issue. Let us know how this goes!

Thank you again for the support and answers!
I was able to figure out another work around. I tried 2 sliders and had other display issues. What finally worked for me was copy the embed code from vimeo and paste it into the html code area.

Glad to hear you managed to find a workaround, @ielorie.
