Both Single and Archive View of CPT actives blog menu item

Hello,

I use multiple cpt’s with archives, plus the standard blog on my site.

I have the blog as a menu item, and everytime I view either a single cpt, or an archive for the cpt - the blog menu is activated.

It makes for a confusing menu.

Can you help figure out why this is the case?

Examples: I have a cpt called books
Archive: https://emergenceeducation.com/books/
Single: https://emergenceeducation.com/books/the-path-of-spiritual-breakthrough/

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked both the page URL and found that the Books menu is not active in the Single CPT page you mentioned. Please let us know if you are still getting the issue.

Hello, Thanks for looking. However its not the ‘books’ archive, but rather the ‘blog’ menu item that gets activated on a single ‘book’ page, yet the 2 are unrelated.

Hi Sophie,

It might be a problem with Custom Post Type you have created. Although we don’t offer any support to the Custom Post Type or related problem, still, we would like to check the reason behind your issue. I would suggest you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.
