Blog posts are taking a 1500x900 image instead of 1920x1080 original image. Please advise (details in secure note)

Thanks for writing in! Your featured image’s max width is set from your Theme Options > Layout & Design > Site Max Width settings.
If you’re changing this settings, you need to regenerate thumbnails/images using a third party plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/).

The slider on that setting only goes to 1500. Why don’t you guys allow it to go to 1920?

The slider control there is limited to 1500 for the ease of use. You can double-click the text box containing the number and you can manually type the number that you want:
I checked your website and it seems that the blog retrieves the 1920 original image. Please check the secure note.
