Blog Post Notification and Subscription?

Hey you all. I have a need for a very basic blog post notification. I have used more complex plugins before for mailing lists etc. but I just have a client that wants blog subscribers to get a notification when he posts … that’s it.

Does WordPress / XPro have a default link to subscribe to a blog and then a setting for email notification? I was hoping I could do this without a plugin or with one that is very basic.

Thanks! That looks like a great solution for the notifications.

For the subscription part, what is the best way to get users subscribed, logged in and allow them to delete their account if necessary?

What is the best way to do this (what links to send them to etc) or what widgets might I use to do this without plugins?

This will be not a simple plugin. Unfortunately, we are not the correct people to give suggestions on this as this is outside of our theme support cope.

But I performed a Google Search that might help you with your research to implement this functionality.
