Blog Post Content Cut Off! Cannot View Full Blog Posts

Hello,

Please tell me why my blog post content is being cut off. For example when I click on a specific blog post like http://betterboat.com/cold-weather-kayak-fishing/ I only see a few lines of text, then the rest is missing! https://www.screencast.com/t/CrYB40e8

There is no “see more” button or anything else to click. I want the full blog post to appear when I navigate to the URL. I have not changed any theme settings related to this (it happens as soon as I active X Child Theme with Ethos).

I’ve checked out every option to customize the theme and can’t find anything that allows me to adjust this. Please advise.

Hey Maureen,

Thanks for writing in. Our themes do not have an option or feature that could cut off the content of a single post. Our themes will only display the full content of single posts.

There might be a modification in the child theme related to the single post that is causing the issue. Please switch to the parent theme to confirm if the issue is with the child theme. If the child theme is the cause of the issue, please consult with a third party developer to fix the child theme. Regretfully, we currently don’t have support nor service for child theme customization.

If switching to the parent theme doesn’t help, there is most probably a third-party plugin that is cutting the content off. Please check the plugins installed in your site for such a feature. Or, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
