Blog page not showing all posts and no pagination

HI,

Our blog page - https://www.naccho.org.au/news/ - is not displaying all published posts, only the latest 10 are now visible whereas there are over 100 and these previously displayed fine with pagination buttons.

Note also that i have tried changing the "Blog pages top show at most " setting to 5, but 10 are still displayed.

I don’t recall applying any updates or plugins that would have affected this functionality.

I backed up WP and the Theme and updated which made images and the breadcrumb disappear, so rolled back to the last working version which fixed the missing images and breadcrumb issue, but we still have a problem with the posts.

Help!

Hey Joe,

Please first follow the troubleshooting steps I have listed in your other thread.

Only if none of the items listed helps, give us WordPress Admin and FTP access in a Secure Note.

Thanks.

HI,
All themes, plugins, WP and X are up to date with latest versions.
Redundant plugins have been removed.
I’m waiting on FTP details which I wil send via secure note when I have them.

Any hints int the meantime - posts still not publishing with pagination.

Hi Joe,

I checked the link that you provided and see only four blog items. That indicates there is a heavy caching going on that you can not see the latest version of the website after you change the setting from Settings > Reading.

Other than that, I would wait for the login info to investigate more. Please make sure that we are able to do tests there as it might cause unexpected problems and you need to make sure the website is not live and in a staging mode.

Thank you.

OK. SO without making any changes, I can now go to settings > reading and adjust the nuymber of posts that show. I have increased this to 50 so at least people can see older posts for now.

The problem that still exists is that there is no pagination on https://www.naccho.org.au/news/

Any thoughts please?

Hi Joe,

Yes, I can see that issue on your site, but I can’t replicate this on my end, this could be a plugin conflict or a bug on the version (7.1.2) that you’re using.

Please do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If that did not resolve the issue, please update both X and Cornerstone to the latest versions (7.2.3 and 4.2.3) respectively.

Updating Your Themes and Plugins

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
