Blog Page Background Changes?

I used one of your templates to create a layout for my blog page. I am happy with most of it, but would like to know how to change the background color.

My default background color in theme options is white and I do not see where to change the background color of that section in the section settings.

Howdy, @dallomong! The Background Color in Theme Options is for the entire site background (basically, the base html / body elements). This is what will be seen if a Section in a design does not have a background-color. With the design you’re using, the parent Section of all that content does have a Background Color, so to change it, you will want to inspect that Section in the Builder and change its Background Color under the Setup control group.

Cheers!

That’s what I thought. I did change it, but it did not update on the page. I used one of your predesigned templates to create this page. Could that have something to do with it?

Hey Dedra,

Yes, it is the second part of Kory’s answer.

If you’re new to using the builder, please visit our Knowledge Base and Youtube Channel to learn how the builder works.

Thanks.

Thanks. I have been using your resources.

I ALREADY changed the parent section background to white.

It still looks gray.

I do not see any ADVANCED background options set.

What is causing the gray on this page? Nothing related to it (Theme Options, Section Background) is set to gray. https://any.0ef.myftpupload.com/faith-perspectives-blog/

I would definitely prefer to use your knowledge resources whenever I can. I can get the answer faster that way…

Thanks for your help.

Hey Dedra,

Unlike before, I no longer see a gray background because your section is not white. If you still perceive the background as gray, it’s highly likely due to 2 things:

  1. Browser cache. Please clear your browser’s cache.
  2. The box shadow of the header and the grid items. Please watch this video: https://youtu.be/2JehAbNKF2Q. It shows the section as grayish because of the box-shadow. Removing the box-shadow, you see that it’s actually white.

Thanks.

Thank you. That was helpful.

Glad to hear it, Dedra.
