Blog Filterable Index Problems

Hi there,

When I update my blog page to have a Filterable Index, 2 issues occur.

Blog here: https://thecoachessite.com/blog

  1. The posts no longer display as a masonry grid, but with image and blog snippet to the right even though by blog settings are set to masonry.

  2. The post order is reversed - the first post showing is from 2012 so it seems the oldest posts are showing first.

I would like to add the Filterable Index, but I want the styling and ordering of my blog to remain as it is currently on the site.

Hi,

Regretfully this is not possible.

We intentionally disable masonry when filterable index is enabled to prevent conflict with js scripts that is use in filtering.

With regards to the order of posts, I checked on my test site and it’s ordered latest to oldest.
Can you try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

You can also try activating main xtheme, to check if it is something in your child theme that is causing the issue.

Let us know how it goes!
