Hi,

Hi,
I get some errors in my SEO tool which says that my blog categories doesn’t have an H1. If I go into a certain category page (edit), shouldn’t the “Name” be an H1?
Hi @Kobber,
Category title are using H1 tag. Did you edit the template? If not, by default it should be h1. Can you share the specific domain where you are having this issue. There are times that error might be just false positive.
Hi Lely,
It’s all my categories that doesn’t have an H1 tag.
An example is here: https://vektropol.dk/category/grafisk-design/
Hi @Kobber,
I can see now you are using Pro. The h1 tag I discussed on previous reply are the category title on Legacy header. The title you have on the page are post title which are using H2 tag.
See this for legacy header default setup: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqlqINvXgi
Using the Header Builder, please add a page title using headline element and then choose H1 tag.
Hope this helps.
Hi Lely,
Thanks for your reply, but I don’t get it? How can I use the header builder to add a page title to a category page?
Hello @Kobber,
You will need to create a custom header using the header builder and assign it as your global header. In this custom header, you can insert a headline element with dynamic content to display the page title.
It would be best that you check out this thread instead:
Hope this helps.
A global header? But what about the header I have now?
Hello @Kobber,
If your current header is your global header, you may edit it and insert a headline element as a container for the page title. You can then insert the [awesome_landmark]
shortcode as what have suggested by @Rad in the other thread to display the page titles.
Hope this makes sense.
When I do that I get this result:
This is just not great… I’m thinking about deleting categories and do without…
Hi @Kobber
You are on the correct track. Now you need to go to the category in question by accessing Posts > Categories > Click the Category in Question.
There you will see an option to set a custom Archive title instead of Category Archive:
There you can add the custom archive name and it will show the correct title.
Thank you.
Yes, but have you seen how it looks?
I love Pro - no doubt about it, but it’s not great for blogging. I sincerely hope that your update regarding this will come soon.
Hey @Kobber,
It’s not possible to add the headline in the area where the posts are listed on the category page. In your header, you can add a new bar below your first bar instead. Please remove the codes provided previously and follow the steps below instead.
Duplicate your Global Header (You’ll know why later)
Edit the duplicate and add a new bar below your first bar.
Insert a Headline element in the new/2nd bar
In the Headline element, insert the dynamic archive title. If you’re not familiar with the Dynamic Content feature, you can learn here: https://theme.co/changelog/#theme-pro-2-5-0-theme-x-6-5-0-cornerstone-3-5-0
Follow Michael Bourne’s tutorial for Header Assignments here: https://michaelbourne.ca/assign-pro-header-search-results-page/. The WordPress conditional that you’ll need to use is
the is_archive(). This is the reason why the header needs to be duplicated. It’s so you can assign a header to all archive pages like Category and Tag pages.
Following the method above, you are now able to control the text.
Also following the method above, you can position the 2nd bar as Absolute also.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for your help and advice, but it gets to comprehensive to manage for me and for clients. I’ll wait for the future update regarding blogs.
That is understandable, Kobber. Thank you for your patience.
