Blog Building Only Available in WP Format

The only way I’ve been able to build blog posts using Cornerstone is to clone an existing post that was made with Cornerstone. When I create a new blog post only the standard WP editor is being used.

How do I enable Cornerstone by default when creating a new post?

Hello @JulieN1,

Thanks for writing to us.

Regretfully there is no option to set the default page builder, please note the steps to create a page/post are in the WordPress core features, it is not a theme feature just because there are no settings to set the Cornerstone as a default page/post editor.

Thanks for understanding

Even if there is not a way to make the Cornerstone/Pro builder the default when creating posts, how does one even access the Cornerstone builder when creating posts (not pages)? When I click to create a new post on our site, there doesn’t seem to be any way to access anything but the generic WordPress builder.

Hey Julie,

It’s possible that an admin in your site disabled Cornerstone editing for the Post. To check that, go to Cornerstone > Settings > Permissions and make sure Posts is enabled (green). If not, click the power button to enable it.

If that doesn’t help or if the Posts is already enabled, there could be a plugin forcing you use the WordPress editor only. Please also try deactivating all 3rd party plugins.

Thanks.
