Blog Archive & Read More

Having issues with the blog archives and having a read more. It seems that either I can get a read more in the main posts or the archives view but not both. Is there a way to make this possible?

It doesn’t matter if I use the show full text or summary versions.

If I use the show summary option it removes all styling previews of my post and the “read more” buttons.

Is there a solution to this? Either way it makes my blog look pretty funky. Also is there a way to format archive post pages or have them include “read more” buttons?

Thanks for writing in!

Please understand that when you select to display the summary of the post contents, all the styling will be gone since WordPress will dynamically display the excerpts from the very first 55 words of the post contents. Any styling or custom html will be stripped out. Only plain text is displayed.

And because you have added “read more” tag, only the heading title is displayed.

I have edited one of your post and transferred the read more tag next to the few paragraph like this:

And then afterwards, it is now displaying this:
