Blockquote button in editor

Hi

When editing pages with CS, then the blockquote button in the editor is gone. When editing e.g. a post in the old-fashioned WP editor, then the button is there. My client wants the button to be shown in the CS as well. How to?

Thanks

Hi There,

Unfortunately this feature is no longer available.

You can provide your client this page to use as a reference.

Hi

Thanks for the answer. The consequence of this missing feature is then, that if my client want a long text with e.g. 4 blockquotes inside, then he has to split the text into different parts / elements in order to be able to insert the CS blockquote element. Am I right? Is there really no way to hack into the editor?

Thanks

Hello There,

We can insert multiple blockquote shortcode inside a RAW Content element. There’s also the Cornerstone blockquote:

if my client want a long text with e.g. 4 blockquotes inside, then he has to split the text into different parts / elements in order to be able to insert the CS blockquote element. Please clarify what you meant by this.

Hi

My client was this https://cl.ly/352w271x0D3D

  • and the regular h1, h2, h3 and p can all be used inside a default text element, but blockquote can’t. Making a setup with all of those texts (https://cl.ly/352w271x0D3D) as separate elements inside CS is… going to be a mess. Using a RAW is not good, as my client then need to know html.

Thanks

Hi There,

I’d just tried that and the Blockquote element is accepting headline <h1> and <p> tags.
And please clarify what do you mean Blockquote button as the Blockquote element/shortcode has no button.

Thank you,

Hi

Listen, it’s quite simple: My client want an easy-to-use editor in which the client can create ordinary content with all default-wp-editor options including the blockquote button.

Thanks

Hi,

I will forward this to our web development team as a feature request.

For the mean time the only work around is to use blockquote shortcode or blockquote element.
