Blank Page but CS Code still there

It’s pretty clear to me that this Client has clicked on another editor for a CS page. CS shows no page content and the live site has a blank page also. However in the WP Text editor the Cornerstone code IS there. Is there anyway of reinstating a page from this CS Code - even if it means going into the database?

Revisons of course dont work for CS Pages either.

Hi John,

Thanks for writing in! If the page is edited outside Cornerstone, probably the page may have been corrupted. In that case, the best possible way is to restore it from a previous backup.

You can also try re-importing the page from another source (perhaps staging server) as well.

Is there not a place in the backend database where I can place the CS code for this page. I don’t know how to restore a single page from our backups only the entire database or site. We use backup buddy to manage our backups.

Hi John,

You can restore your backupbuddy backup on subfolder in your site. Make sure that you have added a new database for it.

eg. http://yoursite.com/temp

Then do the following.

  1. Save Page as template
  2. Go to X > templates and download that page template.
  3. Go to your main site templates page and import the template.
  4. Go to your blank page and load the template.
