Big trouble upgrading X 6.0.4 to X 7.2.3

Hello! I was hired to upgrade a client website that had been languishing for a while. The current website is at prangerent.com. The current versions are:

Cornerstone 3.0.4
WPBakery Page Builder 5.4.7
X 6.0.4

The upgraded staging site is here: http://cold-observation.flywheelstaging.com

Upgrading Cornerstone and WPBakery don’t break too much. But the X Theme upgrade to 7.2.3 breaks a bunch of things on the home page especially.

Do you have any guidance as to how to ease into these changes with less breakage?

Hey Jon,

Most breakage come from child theme customizations and I see you’re using a child theme. Please switch to the parent theme and check if the issue persists. If the issue’s fixed, please consult with a developer to fix the child theme customizations.

Since Visual Composer was used to build the page, please try going to WPBakery Page Builder Settings > General and make sure “Legacy X Integration” is enabled.
