Big Problem with Cornerstone

Hello,

many entries with Cornerstone do not work anymore. Can you fix that?

The Cornerstone-Code is in the Text-Area at the editor. If i try to save as Cornerstone, it jumps back to the Text-Area.

At the moment it isn’t possible to save the Cornerstone-Code as Cornerstone-Content.

Hello @FurtFan86,

Thanks for asking.

I checked the website and under Edit with Cornerstone button link under Pages/Posts > Edit with Cornerstone is working fine and I am not facing any issues as such. However, from front end I can replicate the problem that you are facing. Please try out following solutions and let us know the outcome:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  2. If plugin conflict does not resolve the problem then from Plugins > Installed Plugins deactivate and delete Cornerstone (this will no delete the work you have done). After that visit X menu to automatically install Cornerstone. See it that resolves the issue.

In case problem is still there, please give us the permission to further troubleshoot the problem. Please note that while we are doing the testing, website may have temporary layout issues.

Thanks.

Hello,

both methods did not help. While you still testing, I’ll rebuild the pages from the Google Cache for emergencies.

Hey Lennart,

Sorry for the confusion. Your pages’ builder data is gone. There’s no method to bring them back other than restoring your website, especially the database to a previous working version.

The builder data could only be deleted if you:

  1. Delete the page which I think is not the case.
  2. Switch to another builder like the WordPress Editor
  3. Perform database operations like database optimization
  4. Migration or moving your site from one host and/or domain to another

Have you performed any of those actions? Can you remember your site activities before this happened?

Thanks.

Hey Christian,

yes, i performed

  • database operations like database optimization
  • Migration or moving your site from one host and/or domain to another

I dont think, that was the problem, because i did those operations before. Anyway, i build the Sitey with the Google Cache.

Hello

The mentioned pages could no longer be found. Did you removed or deleted it?

By the way, I noticed a JS error on the page which may affect the whole site and the editor as well. It turns out that it is because of your Google Analytics code improperly placed within your settings. Please check the image below:

Hope this helps.

Ok, thanks.

You’re welcome!
