Big problem with child theme after updating

Hi,

There seems to be a critical problem with the website. I only can work in recovery mode. I haven’t got the slightest clue what’s going on.

Can anyone help?

I will share the login credentials in a secure note.

Thanks for writing in!

Do you have any custom PHP codes in your child theme’s functions.php file? At the moment, it is not accessible in Appearance > Theme Editor. You may need to log in to your FTP and browse to the child theme’s folder, wp-content/themes/x-child/ to check it.

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 7.2.3
  • Cornerstone 4.2.3
  • WordPress core 5.3.2
  • at least PHP 7.2

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
