Best way to update Pro from 3.2.3 to 6.0.3

I noticed cornerstone is no longer on my site. I can’t edit pages that were previously created with it, it’s not appearing either on the top menu or in the pages area. There is no Cornerstone plugin in the plugins directory. Apparently it disappeared after this last update or there is a bug. It should be showing a later version because I’m sure I updated it…

I am using a multisite installation and there is no update available in the admin theme area now.

What are the correct steps to update Pro from version 3.2.3 to 6.0.3, probably through FTP(?) and without breaking anything, and why has there never been an update appearing under “UPDATES”?

I can’t even find the XPro download files in my themeco account, I have a lifetime unlimited Pro license - where are the files and why is it telling me to renew? What’s that all about??

I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server and then update the Pro into its latest version. And if everything goes fine in your staging please migrate the staging server to live.

Please note that your support period has already expired. Support is included for 12 months from the time of purchase (6 months if purchased from ThemeForest or CodeCanyon), and you can extend it for 6 months or 12 months. You’ll save 25% by extending for 12 months. It will renew at the end of the term, and you can cancel at any time from within your account.
You can also renew your support period by purchasing a new Pro Single or Pro Unlimited license. These are both one-time charges.

There is no update link on the theme in Network Admin>Appearance/Themes/Pro/Theme Details as I said before, so why do you recommend I migrate to staging?

Instead, I replaced the theme files with version 5.15. It seems to be ok, so I will hold off for a while on updating to version 6. Apparently there’s a lot of problems with your latest update.

Why isn’t the update theme link appearing there? I don’t want to have to update this manually every time.

As for theme support, the only support I have ever received was from this public forum. What changed there? Are you now saying we have to pay to be part of this forum? I sure hope not, since 99% of all the problems happen after your updates.

Your current theme is much older and the latest update may conflict with it and affect your live server and that is why the update in the staging server is suggested. And that is the best way we can suggest in your case. Regarding other issues, we can only check if the support has been renewed. I would request you renew the support and let us know for further assistance.

You still haven’t answered my questions, there is still no update showing as available for the theme at Network Admin>Appearance/Themes/Pro/Theme Details. So the only way to update is manually. Current working version is 5.15

This needs to be corrected but I obviously can’t fix that, I didn’t write your code. And as far as support, I’ve paid you guys over $700, now you’re saying there is no support for your bugs unless I pay you more?

If you go to /wp-admin/update-core.php on your domain you should see the section to update to Pro6. Let us know if you have issues there. If your folder isn’t name pro (like pro-5) I’ve seen it not have the update section Tristup is referring to. Pretty sure WordPress does checks in that area on a cron so you might see it at some point. Have a great day.
