Best practice for Pro Theme and Elementor

Hi,
I am taking over a site that has been build in Elementor and I wish to use Cornerstone on it to make new pages and possibly change exisiting Pages on it that have already been build with Elementor.

I appreciate that this is a 3rd party plugin but from teh view of Theme x Pro I was wondering about the following;

1- What is teh best practice to go about this. Should I install teh Pro Theme and turn it live or should I just install COrnerstone?

2- How do I just install cornerstone with my current Pro Unlimited license?

3- Can I edit pages buidl fromcorenrstome or is it best to avoid these and just use Cornerstone to builkd out new pages?

4- Do Elementaor and Cornerstone play nice?

5- The site currently uses Woocommerce, is there anything I should know to ensure I dont mess things up?

Many Thanks

Hello @shawinglasgow,

Thanks for writing to us.

For Query 1 & 2
Please note that you need to install the Pro theme only since Cornerstone page builder is inbuilt with the Pro theme so you don’t need to install the Cornerstone page builder plugin separately.

For Query 3
I would suggest you create the page through the Cornerstone page builder, please note that you should edit the page with the Cornerstone page builder if the page has been created using the Cornerstone page builder. If your page was created with Cornerstone, it must be edited with Cornerstone. Similarly, if it was created with Elementor, it must be edited with Elementor. Mixing builders will cause layout issues.

For Query 4
We have not received any compatibility complaints about the Pro theme and Cornerstone with the Elementor page builder plugin.

For Query 5
Always create a full backup of your site (database and files) before making changes. Use a staging site to test changes before applying them to the live site to avoid disruptions.

Hope it helps
Thanks
