BBPress Forum Not Working Properly

Hello great lads/gals at Themeco. My site as you may know is https://www.thosecrazyvegans.net and the forum page through BBPress forum are not working. First, why is the group forum attached to the main forum? I would like to remove those, the first category on the forum top, the one that says Michael Lanfield.

The main issue is when you click on any category on the forum like News and Updates for example, https://www.thosecrazyvegans.net/forums/news/ nothing is displayed on that page. All the categories are like that. I sent a support question to BBPress and they said it was my theme that was the issue. When I switch to the 2017 theme, I get “This forum is empty” line. Why and how to fix it?

I didn’t fully understand your first question, I would appreciate if you can elaborate more details about this problem.

For the second one, please try the following:

  1. If you’re using a CDN, please clear the CDN’s cache and disable optimization services.
  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  3. Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the options or Child Theme and test the case.
  4. Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.

If this doesn’t help, then please provide us with WordPress Dashboard login details in a “Secure Note” so we can investigate this issue.

Hello Alaa. I tried 1 through 3 suggestions and nothing worked. I renamed my .htaccess file as you specified and the site did not work. Gave me This Page isn’t Working page. So I change renamed the file back to original. Thanks for the help.

I figured out what the issue was. I set the forums to category instead of forum. And in forums page in dashboard I removed the BuddyPress group. I am so happy!
