Basic config "LOOPER-Consumer" not working

I am trying to setup a basic archive page and using looper/consumer but the virtual items never show up. I am using the https://theme.co/blog/loopers as a guide and what is failing is the reference at 5:54 in the video. When I drag in an image or other element, I don’t get the virtual items even though I have set the COUNT to 6, 12 or any other number.

After some further testing, I noticed the virtual items are there, they just aren’t showing in the design layout??

Am I missing a setup option to show this?
