Banner is cutting off

Hi, I am adding a banner in through a text widget in the sidebar on my website. Why is the 300x250 being cut off on the bottom to only show 70% of the banner? The 150x150 works perfect.

Also when being used as a fixed widget the header is placed over the top of the banner while scrolling?

the amazon banners bottom is cut off, while the smaller one is good.
