Background video not playing on Safari

Im using an MP4 video in the background of a section and it does not play on safari on mobile? It works on andriod and chrome on both desktop and mobile but specifically, safari is not working. Is there a fix for this?

Hi @The_Capture_Factory,

We have tested the .mp4 file in the said version of the browser and didn’t find any issue, can you please check the file once again. I would also request you to provide the page URL where you are having the issue, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note if that page is required login to examine, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Hi @The_Capture_Factory,

The background videos are disabled on phone due to performance issues. It only plays in the Chrome browser on Android devices.

Is this something that is looking to be fixed in upcoming releases?
