I would like to replace the static images in my section backgrounds with looping time lapse videos that I have created. It doesn’t seem to work via the media library. Can you provide me with step by step instructions on how to do this with cornerstone?
Hello @Bergeron206,
Thanks for asking.
Upon creating the section, under Setup > Background > Click Advance and add the background video to the lower or upper layer by clicking on video icon. Here is a screencast that I have recorded that can be used as reference https://screencast.com/t/bZxPeH2vIfGe
Thanks.
I have tried that process repeatedly with no results. I have even tried upgrading my Vimeo account to pro in order to use direct links. So far that isn’t working either. I’m pretty frustrated at this point.
Hello @Bergeron206,
Thanks for updating the thread. In that case can you please share website URL and login details in a secure note for us to take a closer look?
Thanks.
I’ve just Sent it.
Hi,
I can’t seem to find the page and section where you have added the video.
Can you provide us the url of the page where we can see the issue and also the url of your vimeo video.
Thanks
It would be on the homepage, the first image after the menu. Right now it’s set to am image as a place holder… I’ve been trying to get the following video from Vimeo as the background
Hello There,
The video is not loading because of CORS (Cross Origin Resource Sharing) issue. It is evident because this message is displaying on the front end console:
The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://gcs-vimeo.akamaized.net will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.
The video from vimeo is not allowed to load in your site. I would recommend that you download the video and upload it to your site instead and your the video path for your section background video.
Please let us know how it goes.
Hey @roman777,
Please open a separate thread and give us the URL of the page having an issue.
Thanks.
Downloading the video won’t work because of upload size restrictions. According to Vimeo this is the direct link for the file. According to other Apex forum discussions, using a direct link should work. This process has been less than ideal.
Hi,
I tried your vimeo url in my test site and it seems to work.
There is something in your site that is preventing it from working.
Can you try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes!
