Background images showing in editor, but not live site

Hello!

I recently updated cornerstone and my theme (Inspiry Real Places) and am now having issues building new pages.

When I use my templates, with the classic elements, everything shows up fine. However, when I try to use the new elements, background images will not appear, only colored backgrounds.

This page was built with all new elements and the header background image in the first section, as well as the the background images in the last two sections are not showing. All that shows is white space.

When I am logged into wordpress in chrome, the page will render correctly and looks right while in the editor:

It will even render in another tab:

But the live page looks like this:

I already checked with the theme guys and they said everything looked fine from their end…

Any idea where I can start diagnosing this?

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked your page and I see the content is being served by the cache. This could be just a cache issue. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

If the problem remains then please check for the following first:

  1. Deactivate your caching plugin and other optimization plugins and make sure to clear all caches.

  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  3. Remove custom CSS, JavaScript and deactivate your current theme and switch to WP default theme (take a complete backup first).
